Implant pain

“The implant treatment was so painful that I stopped after one tooth.”

What helped

What would help you at the dentist?

What's the difference? →
Laughing gas
You breathe it in through a nose mask, stay awake and responsive, but feel calmer. It wears off within a few minutes.
Sedation
A sedative, usually given into a vein. You are very relaxed and often barely remember the treatment. You'll need someone to take you home afterwards.
General anaesthesia
You are fully asleep while an anaesthesia team monitors you. For bigger procedures or very strong anxiety. There is a briefing beforehand.

General information, not medical advice. The practice will work out with you which method suits you. Public health insurance usually doesn't cover laughing gas or anaesthesia for adults.
